Goshen's Science Olympiad Teams Compete in Virtual Tournaments
Goshen Science Olympiad's Division B and C teams competed in the Belleville Invitational on Saturday December 5th, after the senior team competed in the Division C Transcontinental Invitational on November 21st. The teams competed against teams from Texas to California.
Goshen’s SciOly teams took home a few medals from Wisconsin's Belleville Tournament! Goshen’s medal winners include:
Arun Foster and Jack Moran: second place, Detector Building
Kapil Foster and Dalia Abbad: third place, Anatomy & Physiology
Ryan Mistretta and Dalia Abbad: third place, Protein Modeling
Melissa Moore and Jack Moran: fourth place, Ornithology
Catherine Lienemann and Jack Moran: fifth place, Fossils
Kiran Foster and Jacob from Division B, placed seventh in Density Lab
Goshen’s Senior Team took home two medals from the Transcontinental Tournament! Goshen’s medal winners include:
Jason Barnes and Eesha Ramanathan: fifth place, Designer Genes
Arun Foster, Alex Mistretta and Ryan Mistretta: sixth place, Code Busters
The Science Olympiad, which began as a grassroots assembly of science teachers, has been held nationally since 1985 and is regarded as one of the premier science competitions in the country.
