Goshen's Science Olympiad Teams Compete at Sacred Heart University
Goshen Science Olympiad’s Science Olympiad teams walked away with 19 medals and a first place trophy after a successful showing at the Sacred Heart University Invitational. Throughout the day, each team competed in 16 different events focusing on such topics as anatomy & physiology, computer science, engineering, forensics, and epidemiology.
This year’s division B team is made up of 25 members ranging from 6th to 9th grade and the Division C team is made up of 27 members ranging from 9th to 12th grade. Each student has three or more specializations, ranging from rock and mineral recognition to Rube Goldberg engineering. Students competed in pairs; the top three competitors in each event are awarded medals. Goshen’s medal winners include:

Goshen’s Science Olympiad program is coordinated by head coach Becky DenDanto, and assistant coaches Laura Muller, Roseanne Lesser, Laura Macginitie, Christina Pahucki, and Warren Young with support from a large group of parent and community volunteers.
