Goshen Teams Make Strong Showing at Cornell Invitational

Three Goshen Science Olympiad Teams competed in the Cornell Invitational held in Ithaca, New York on February 24th. More than 1,000 students from grades 6th through 12th gathered on Cornell’s campus for the Science Olympiad competition, bringing together competitors from Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and Florida. Goshen sent two Division B Teams, that placed 7th and 17th overall, and one Division C Team, which placed 19th overall. Goshen's Division B Teams earned nine medals including second place finishes in the Battery Buggy and Meteorology events. Additional medals earned included third place in Optics, fourth place in Experimental Design, Microbe Mission, Roller Coasters, and towers, and sixth place in Mystery Architecture and Parasitology.
The Division C Team has wrapped up the season, but the Division B Team will will head to the Mid-Hudson Division B Regionals on March 17th.
