Goshen’s Jr. SciOly Team Tests Skills at Rustin Invitational

The Goshen Science Olympiad team got a jump-start on this year’s competition season by taking part in the Rustin Invitational in West Chester, Pennsylvania on January 6th. More than 900 students from Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, and Connecticut competed in events focused on areas in science and engineering. Goshen sent two teams to compete in the 60-team event, and the teams finished seventeenth and thirty-seventh place in the Invitational. Goshen earned eight medals including third place finishes in the Towers and Roller Coasters events. Additional medals earned included sixth place in Rocks & Minerals and Parasitology, eighth place in Battery Buggy, Meteorology, and Disease Detectives, and tenth place in Meteorology.
