Goshen Places 8th at NY State Tournament
Goshen’s Science Olympiad Junior Team earned their spot as one of the top ten teams in New York State during a two-day tournament held at the East Syracuse-Minoa High School on April 7 and 8, 2017. The team competed against the 39 highest ranked teams in the state in 25 different events, covering a wide range of STEM-related topics. Overall, the team placed 8th out of the 39 competing teams and placed in the top 15 in fourteen events. Goshen earned eight state medals including a first place finish in the Mission Possible event. Additional medals earned included second place in Wind Power, fourth place in Herpetology, fifth place in Towers, sixth place in Experimental Design, seventh place in Scrambler and Mystery Design, and ninth place in Rocks & Minerals.
